As I came home from work today and opened the door, I instantly smelled the smell of dog poop. I opened the interior door and found a smiling happy pup to welcome me home - Probert.
The little master has escaped his crate again! Today's adventure included tearing up the bag of trash from his previous adventure and leaving me a kingly poop on a pillow he took down from the couch (in addition to two other poops).
And so, further crate-reinforcing will be done. I took a picture of the clip that he broke in his last escape.
In better news, here is a cute picture of the pups begging food from the Brown Dog Dad.

Is it a possibility to do away with the crate and maybe contain him to the kitchen with a strong baby gate or something?
Our first floor is kind of open so there's not really a "doorway" to easily block and he can get through any gate we've had. The one we have to the cat room now is very tall and is strongly tension mounted and he can get through that like it's nothing. We might just have to reinforce his crate further or I guess as a last resort we could try putting him in the bathroom. I'm not sure! We'll just have to keep trying things until he either can't escape or loses the desire to! :)
I hope you remember me from LJ, but I am Dres mom. The last picture, the pup on the left, looks exactly like my baby! :)
The pup on the left is little Probert! :)
omdog that is a LOT OF POOP!! lol
Probert can poop with the best of them! :)
Holy dog, what does Probert eat?!?
He is quite the Houdini dog, isn't he? I'm sure glad Dannan's not escape-inclined!
Probert is a total escape artist! The past few days, he's just eaten dog food, but he's been eating more than normal because of the cold weather (I eat more when it's cold, too, as I burn more energy keeping warm). He always manages to poop a lot, though! He's something else.
wow Propert...dude...that was one impressive turd....I like the presentation...good work my friend...good work
When i was a pup nothing kept me in until mom bought me a crate...then I didnt care...but \now i am an old girl ...I dont even care much. I have been crate free since I was 5...so maybe there is hope for you too probert...
We tried crating hooligan but eventually he just destroyed everything in the crate. He's been crate free for three years and just chills on the couch sleeping now. No surprise poop when we come home.
I must say, that's an impressive pile of crap.
