Playing Dress Up

So, once again this year we participated with Pinups for Pitbulls and submitted a photo for the 2010 calendar. Out of the almost 100 submissions, we were NOT chosen to have our own month in the calendar, but our picture will appear on a page in the back. Oh well. Enjoy anyway!

The photo was a huge collaborative effort in tribute to the Elvgren pinup painting, Station WOW. I can't tell you how much fun this shoot was. Everyone who worked on it was great. The photographer, Chris Zibutis is awesome and was assisted by his lovely wife, Monica Zibutis as well as their friend Robyn Martin. The hair and makeup was all done by my sister-in-law, Jenna Hopman. The dog-wrangling and general pup supervision was handled by my husband, Shawn Hopman. We shot at the yoga studio where I teach thanks to the kind owners. The pup models were your friends, Addy and Probert. As you can see, Probert is an old pro at this looking adorable on film thing by now!

That is the most adorable picture! I can't believe how much your Probert--the sweetest name--looks like my baby Guinness (also a rescue) my lab/pit mix. I am imagining the hilarity of trying to wrangle my three pups for such a pin up--perhaps not :). I found your blog by chance through a yogini's blogroll--so glad I did! And so happy to read that your pit girlie is a therapy dog! As a human therapist I have been dying to help at least one of my three follow in footsteps as it were--that remain to be seen. Feel free to visit me over at http://myembodiment.wordpress.com where I discuss mind/body and holistic mental health as well as my life and times with much puppy wordspace :).

Happy haloween!

luneray, You are RIGHT. How dare I not aknowledge Addy's cuteness. :)

Teresa, Glad that you found us! Yes, Maizy is a great therapy dog and I love going out and about with her. She is really just naturally good at her job.

Scout, I am not sure what that is supposed to mean, so I am taking it as a compliment! :D
